1. Treat once a week
Once a week, apply your Lil J Flake Off Pre-Wash Treatment directly to your dry scalp, working in sections. Gently massage with your fingertips and leave for at least 30 minutes.

Cleanse
2. Shampoo twice
Wet your hair, lather up with your shampoo and rinse. Repeat for a second cleanse to thoroughly wash away the treatment.

Condition
3. Condition once
Apply your conditioner, then rinse thoroughly. Hello, happy hair!

Treatment day: Pre-Wash Treatment → Shampoo twice → Conditioner.
Regular wash days: Shampoo → Conditioner.

Dry scalp and dandruff aren’t always the same thing
Seeing flakes doesn't automatically tell you what's causing them.
A scalp can feel dry, tight or itchy and show visible flakes, while dandruff and other scalp conditions can present in different ways. That's why we prefer to focus on caring for how your scalp looks and feels, rather than trying to diagnose the cause.
If your scalp is persistently irritated, inflamed, sore or your symptoms are severe or recurring, it's worth speaking with a healthcare professional.

Is Flake Off for dry scalp or dandruff?
Flake Off is designed as cosmetic scalp care for people experiencing concerns such as dryness, visible flakes and itchiness. Because flakes can have different causes, we don't position Flake Off as a treatment or cure for a medical scalp condition.
Where do I apply the Flake Off Treatment?
Apply Flake Off directly to the dry scalp, working section by section.
This is different from Thick & Juicy, Fine & Fabulous and Bounce Back Treatments, which are applied through the mid-lengths and ends.
How long do I leave Flake Off on?
Leave the Treatment on for 30 minutes before shampooing.
How often should I use Flake Off?
Use the Flake Off Treatment once a week. Use the Shampoo and Conditioner as needed on your regular wash days.
Do I shampoo once or twice after using the Treatment?
Shampoo twice to thoroughly cleanse your scalp and remove the pre-wash Treatment, then condition once.
Can all hair types use Flake Off?
Flake Off is scalp-focused rather than based on hair thickness, so it can suit different hair types when the main concern is a dry, flaky or itchy scalp.
Can I use Flake Off if I have scalp psoriasis?
Flake Off can be part of a haircare routine for dryness and visible flakes, but it is not a treatment or cure for psoriasis.
Psoriasis is a medical condition, so if you have scalp psoriasis or ongoing scalp irritation, speak with your healthcare professional about the most appropriate treatment for you.
